1932 Thoughts. Thoughts do not need the wings of words To fly to any goal. Like subtle lightnings, not like birds, They speed from soul to soul. Hide in your heart a bitter thought—Still it has the power to blight; Think love, although you speak it not, it gives the world more light. —Sent in by Dorothy Gambie, 62 Oakover-street, East Fremantle. 1933 Out of My Post Bag. Dear Auntie Kitty, I am sending in the picture coloring, in which I hope to be successful. It has been a very dull day in Fremantle, and several times I thought we would have rain. We are at present having a holiday, and I am not very sorry. We have a little dog, and we call it Monty. Dad calls him Squibs, because he's so tiny, and how he'll hardly answer us to Monty. Our cat has two kittens now, and one was born with only three legs. But it doesn't seem to worry him much. I haven't seen any of my letters in print yet, so I hope this one will be. I have started to knit myself a jumper, though I doubt if I'll finish it -Your loving niece, Dorothy Gambie, 62 Oakover-street, East Fremantle. (reference)
