Inter / Post War Austerity Bungalow w Interwar Bungalow Influences
No 61 Pier Street is a single storey house constructed in brick and rendered brick with a hipped tiled roof. It is an expression of the Inter-War Porch style. The front elevation is asymmetrically planned with a thrust bay and a hip roofed porch. The porch is supported on rendered piers. A wrought steel balustrade spans between the posts. The thrust bay features a set of casement and fixed light windows under a flat roofed sunhood. Sheet metal cladding has been added above the sunhood. There is a central door flanked by casement and fixed light windows. The roofscape features tall brick chimneys.
