No 62 Irwin Street is a single storey house constructed in brick and rendered brick with a hipped and gable corrugated iron roof. It is a fine expression of the Inter-War Bungalow style. The front elevation is symmetrically planned with a central hip roofed verandah. The verandah is supported on brick piers. A gable extends above the verandah. There is a central door flanked by casement windows.

1936 Negligent Driving. On a charge of negligent driving, arising out of an accident on the Fremantle road, near Canning Bridge, about 9 p.m. on February 21, Donald Alfred Pearse was fined £2 (with £1/2/ costs) in the Fremantle Traffic Court yesterday...Oscar Carlson, a lumper, who came into court on crutches, said that he had parked his car by the side of the road, and was walking back to a fish shop when the accident occurred. He noticed a dim light in front, and soon after became aware of a bright light behind him. He was then struck on the side by a motor car. Pearse stated in evidence that he was blinded by the headlamp of an approaching motorcycle. Called to give evidence, the motor-cyclist, Leonard Groom, said that his lights were dim, as the battery was almost run down. (reference)
