He had got ahead, and looking behind him saw a man coming round the corner. The man caught up to the woman near the Public Buildings, and witness heard something like a cry, a blow, and a fall. HISTORY

1902-1909 “My great-great grandparents were Charles Louis and Alma Taylor nee Piper (actually she was Amalia Caroline, but went by Alma). They had 11 children, two died as infants. The eldest, Louis, was my great-grandfather. I'm not sure if it was owned or rented by the family. Charles Louis Taylor farmed at Pikaring, near Quairading, and maybe the younger family members remained in Fremantle? My great-grandfather Louis worked for the railways and was transferred to Midland, hence the move from Fremantle after 1909. Charles and Alma's eldest daughter Ethel Maud died in 1902 and the funeral announcement (attached) gives the Hubble St address. I believe she died from appendicitis.” Catherine Schelfhout, correspondence 4.8.2021
