Leith Maddock: “I lived at Ecclefechan, 40 Hubble Street in 1989-90 with my baby daughter Gabriel, and Anita and my dear friend Terry stayed there to help when she was a new born. I tried for a home birth, and later sat before the TV with my newborn weeping over the Tienanmen Square massacre. I loved living there.”
