1925 George Arthur Morris (1896-1970), from the Morris Family (see Notable people) enlisted in November 1915 and embarked on the HMAT Miltiades (A28) on 12 Feb 1916 from Fremantle with the 11th Battalion. He returned in 1917 after he was wounded and became deaf. He married Doris Hopetown Pridmore in June 1922, and had two sons. They lived here for a year in 1925.

1918...in the Fremantle Police Court yesterday, two prosecutions were taken against persons who witnessed claim cards for enrollment on the West Province Legislative Council rolls, without first satisfying themselves that the information on the cards was correct. (reference) Constable Thompson, of East Fremantle said that "T. Harwood," the signature of the claim card, was not the householder at No 84 Hubble-street, as indicated on the claim card.
