ARCHITECTURE

Federation / Gable Domestic Carpenter

No 32 (previously known as No 60) Hubble Street is a single storey house constructed in timber framing and corrugated iron cladding with a twin gabled corrugated iron roof. It is an unusual expression of the Federation Bungalow style. There have been numerous modifications to the place. The place is asymmetrically planned with a thrust gable bay and a part width curved skillion roofed verandah. The verandah is supported on square timber posts. Part of the verandah is enclosed with fibrous cement sheet walling. The gable bay features a single pane double hung sash window with a curved sunhood. The verandah and cladding are later modifications.
