1930 Frozen Punch

Part of the 1st Prize winners recipe 12 Jan 1930 Sunday Times (reference)

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups of water

  • ½ cup each of lemon and orange juice

  • 1 bottle of ginger ale

  • a small bunch of mint

  • 1 ½ cups of weak tea (strained)

  • 1 ½ cups sugar

Method:

  1. Tie the mint in a piece of cheesecloth and boil with water and sugar for 5 minutes

  2. Cool and remove the mint

  3. Add fruit juices, ginger ale and tea

  4. Freeze and serve in tall glasses
