1930 Pineapple Frappe

Part of the 1st Prize winners recipe in the 12 Jan 1930 Sunday Times (reference)

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of sugar

  • 3 cups of water

  • Juice of 2 lemons

  • 2 cups of grated pineapple

Method:

  1. Boil water and sugar together for 10 minutes

  2. Cool, then add lemon juice and pineapple

  3. Pack in salt and ice and freeze to a mush
