ARCHITECTURE

Federation Bungalow w Regency Influences

No 4 Walter Street is a single storey house constructed in limestone and brick with a hipped and gabled corrugated iron roof. It is a fine expression of the Federation Bungalow style. It is symmetrically composed with a full width bull-nosed roofed verandah. The verandah is supported on timber posts. A timber rail spans between the posts. There is a central door and hopper light flanked by sidelights and bay windows. The bay windows feature a pair of double hung sash windows. The gables with weatherboard cladding sit above the bay windows. The roofscape features tall brick chimneys with rendered caps. The walls are limestone with brick quoins.
