ARCHITECTURE
Inter-War Old English Vernacular
No 12 Walter Street is a single storey house constructed in brick and rendered brick with a hipped and gable tiled roof. It is a fine expression of the Inter-War Old English style. It is asymmetrically composed with thrust gable bay and gable roofed porch. The gable bay features a corbelled gable and brick chimney flanked by lead light double hung sash windows. The porch has an arched entry also with a corbelled gable. The entry is located under the porch and is flanked by a further set of lead light double hung sash windows. The roof is very steeply pitched and features some late addition dormer windows. The house is picturesque.
