1929 Fried Chicken at La Malabar

Ingredients:

  • 1 chicken

  • curry powder

  • dry mustard

  • 2 onions

  • butter

Method:

  1. Cut chicken into joints and fairly small pieces and dry thoroughly

  2. Add ½ teaspoon of dried mustard to the curry powder and use to powder every part of the chicken with

  3. Fry the pieces well in butter then lay on platter

  4. Cut 2 onions into small pieces and fry in butter carefully

  5. Pour onions and their sauce over the chicken and serve on very hot plates
