MAY Street

A brief History of MAY Street

May Street was named after Princess Mary of Teck (1878 – 1953) who was the wife of King George V; she was informally known as ‘May’. They visited Western Australia in 1901 as the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and York. The Princess May School is also named in her honour.
