Inter-War , Federation Bungalow w Filigree Influences
No 24 May Street is a single storey building constructed in limestone, painted brick and rendered brick with a tiled hipped roof. It is a fine expression of the Federation Bungalow style. It is asymmetrically composed with a full width return hip roofed verandah. The verandah is supported on turned timber posts. A timber fretwork frieze and a vertical timber balustrade span between the posts. The south section of the return verandah has been enclosed. The house sits on limestone foundations. A broad set of steps leads down to the garden. There is a central door and hopper light flanked by sidelights and casement windows with hoppers. Masonry steps leads down to the garden.
