No. 60 (previously was no. 88) East street is a single storey house constructed limestone and brick with a gabled corrugated iron roof. It is a simple expression of the Federation Bungalow style overlaid with later modification. The front elevation is asymmetrically planned with the door to the north and a window to the south. The facade features a skillion roofed verandah supported with concrete piers on a concrete floor.

HISTORY

1921 Marriage on January 22, at Johnston Memorial Church Fremantle, by Rev. Stacey, Vernet George, third son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Williams, 88 East-street, East Fremantle, to Ida Mildred, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. Reeves, Frederick-street, North Fremantle. (reference)

1926 Death on May 18, at his late residence, 88 East-street, East Fremantle (suddenly), George, dearly beloved husband of Elizabeth Luke Williams and loving father of Harold, Roy, Vernet, Leslie and Cyril; aged 70 years. (reference)

1926 Obituary. Mr. George Williams, the oldest employee of the firm of Messrs. Robert Harper and Co., Ltd., Fremantle, died suddenly on the 18th inst., at his late residence, 88 East street, East Fremantle. The deceased, who was 70 years of age, was born at Bendigo, Victoria, in which State he lived for 20 years. Mr. Williams went to South Australia, and lived there principally in Adelaide, for a period of 18 years. He was connected with Robert Harper and Co., Ltd. in South Australia, and 32 years ago, was transferred to their Fremantle branch, where he had been ever since. (reference)

1950 Death on July 8, at her residence, 60 East-street, East Fremantle, Elizabeth Williams, widow of the late George Williams, dearly beloved mother of Harold, Roy, Vernet, Leslie and Cyril, mother-in-law of Edith, ida, Nell, Edith and the late Lillian, and fond grandmother of Cyril, Trevor, Bevan, Edith, Hazel Vernet, Verna and Beryl Williams; aged 89 years.
