Inter-War / Inter-War Bungalow w Federation Influences
No 59 Petra Street is a single storey house constructed in brick and rendered brick with a hipped and gable corrugated iron roof. It is a fine expression of the Federation Bungalow style. It is asymmetrically composed with a thrust gable bay and a part width return hip roofed verandah. The verandah is supported on timber posts with post brackets. The verandah terminates at the gable bay and has been extended north to act as a carport. The gable bay features a set of casement windows under a sunhood. There is a central door and hopper light flanked by a set of double hung sash windows. Walls are brick with rendered sills and stringcourses. Lower walls have been rendered. The roofscape features a pair of rendered chimneys.
