Inter-War Bungalow w Federation Influences
No 38 Oakover Street is a single storey house constructed in painted brick and rendered brick with a hipped tiled roof. It is a fine expression of the Inter-War Bungalow style. It is symmetrically composed with a full width return broken back roofed verandah. The verandah is supported on turned timber posts with post brackets. There is a central door and hopper light flanked by sidelights and sets of casement windows. There is a render string course on the facade. The roofscape features several chimneys with rendered caps.
HISTORY
1937 Three Cars Missing. Detectives are seeking three cars which were stolen recently. Albert Walker's Chevrolet sedan was stolen from 38 Oakover-street, East Perth, between 9 p.m. on Thursday and 2 a.m. on Friday. (reference)

1946 Contractor Injured. Henry Farrington (50), contractor, of 38 Oakover-street, East Fremantle, received a deep laceration to the forehead when a crossbeam fell and struck him on the head about noon yesterday while he was working on renovations to the Plympton Hotel, East Fremantle. He was taken to the Fremantle Hospital by St. John ambulance and admitted for treatment. (reference)
