Inter-War Bungalow Porch House w Arts & Crafts Influences
No 28 Staton Street is a single storey house constructed in limestone, tuck-pointed brick and rendered brick with a hipped and gable tiled roof. It is a very fine expression of the Inter-War Bungalow style. It is asymmetrically composed with a gable bay and a full width skillion roofed verandah. The verandah is supported on paired timber posts with decorative brackets. The timber fretwork spans between the paired posts. The main roof features a prominent gable and a smaller gable bay in front. The gables feature vents and weatherboard cladding. There is a central door and hopper light flanked by sidelights and paired double hung sash windows. The roof features ram’s horn finials and a set of tall rendered chimneys. The place sits on limestone foundations.

1933 Games And Players Of Long Ago. East Fremantle's greatness as a football club began before the present century. How the qualities which have made it famous were fashioned and built upon make an absorbing feature of the memories of the veteran head trainer, Tommy Lewis who has been with the club since 1889—the second season of its history. ...The club finished last that year, but in the next season. 1899, it was strengthened by the entry of brilliant juniors in Dolph Heindrichs, the late 'Hooky' Doig and Charles Wakeley.
