Inter-War Bungalow Porch House
No 19 Stratford Street is a single storey house constructed in limestone, brick and rendered brick with hipped and gable corrugated iron roof replacing an original tiled roof. It is a decorative expression of the Inter-War Porch style. It is asymmetrically composed with a thrust gable bay and a part width hip roofed porch. The porch is supported on rendered piers. A brick balustrade spans between the piers. There is a central decorative gable that marks the entry. The roof of the gable extends over the thrust bay to act as a sunhood. The thrust bay features a vent and a pair of multi pane double hung sash windows. There is a central door and flanked by a set of windows. The place sits on limestone foundations. The lower walls are face brick and the upper walls are rendered. The roofscape features a rendered chimney.
HISTORY
John "Jerry" Dolan (25 December 1901 – 26 December 1986) was an Australian rules footballer and coach in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) before becoming a politician. He played for as well as coached East Fremantle and was also a coach at East Perth. After leaving football, Dolan served as a member of the Western Australian Legislative Council.

1948 East Fremantle Coach. J. Dolan Retiring. Addressing the gathering in East Fremantle's clubrooms yesterday morning, the coach, J. Dolan, intimated that he would not be coaching the side next year. He said, “This may be the last time I address you as coach. I will be starting long service leave for six months next February and my present intention is not to stand for the position next year’' Dolan said that he had had a happy association with East Fremantle and he thought that this year's side had worthily upheld the traditions of the club. The club president, Mr. Tonkin, M.L.A., said that the early season worry of the committee was how the side would get into the four. He paid a tribute to the work of Dolan and the captain, J. Conway, in getting the side as far as it did. (reference)
1951 Jerry Dolan to Nominate.—Mr. Jerry Dolan, the former State, East Fremantle and East Perth football coach, will seek Labour nomination for the West Province seat in the Legislative Council which will be vacated by Mr. E. H. Gray, M.L.C. next year. However, there is likely to be keen competition among Labour aspirants for this seat… Mr. Dolan, who is a school teacher, said to-day that he intended to submit his nomination to the Fremantle District Council of the Australian Labour Party today.
