ARCHITECTURE
Inter-War Gable Porch House Bungalow w Arts & Crafts Influences
No 12 Fortescue Street is a single storey house constructed in brick and rendered brick with a gable tiled roof. It is a fine expression of the Inter-War Bungalow style with some Arts and Crafts influences. The front elevation is symmetrically planned with a central door flanked by sets of casement windows. The facade features a full width broken back roofed verandah supported on posts that rest on stout piers. A curved top rendered balustrade spans between the piers. A half-timbered gable over the verandah marks the entrance. Lower walls are brick and upper walls are rendered. The roofscape features rendered chimneys.
