Lemon flavoured sauce that pairs well with the Three-in-one Cake
Ingredients:
1 lemon
1 dessertspoon of cornflour
3 tablespoons of sugar
½ pint (300 ml) cold water
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon of butter
Method:
Grate lemon rind and juice lemon
Pour lemon juice over cornflour and mix
Put the water and butter in a small saucepan and when nearly boiling add sugar and stir well
Remove from heat and add the blended cornflour mix then return to fire and stir until it boils and thickens
