ARCHITECTURE

No 251 Canning Highway is a single storey house constructed in brick and rendered brick, with a hipped and gabled corrugated iron roof. It is a fine expression of the Inter-War Bungalow style. The front elevation is asymmetrically planned with a thrust gable bay and a part timbered gabled verandah. The verandah terminates at the thrust bay and is supported on Tuscan columns that rest on rendered piers. A rendered balustrade spans between the piers. The gable bay features a set of casement windows under a tiled awning. There is a central door flanked by a side light and casement windows. The roofscape features rendered chimneys.
