ARCHITECTURE
No 202 Canning Highway ‘Fairfield’ is a single storey house constructed in limestone, brick and rendered brick with a hipped and gable corrugated iron roof. It is a fine expression of the Federation Bungalow style. It is asymmetrically composed with a thrust gable bay and a full width return bullnose roofed verandah. The verandah is supported on timber posts with brackets. A vertical timber balustrade spans between the posts. A broad set of steps descends to the garden from the verandah. The gable bay features a bay window with double hung sash windows. There is a central door and hopper light flanked by sidelights and double hung sash windows. The roofscape features tall render capped chimneys.
