ARCHITECTURE

Federation Queen Anne

No 25 Osborne Road is a single storey house constructed in tuck-pointed brick and rendered brick with a hipped and gable corrugated iron roof. It is a fine expression of the Federation Queen Anne style. It is asymmetrically composed with a thrust gable bay and a part width return bull-nosed roofed verandah. The place is planned with a diagonal bay and a gable roofed entry. The gable features timber detailing and a cartouche. The verandah is supported on timber posts with a cast metal lace frieze. A vertical timber balustrade spans between the posts. The half-timbered gable bay to the north jetties over a bay window. The bay window features a pair of double hung sash windows. There is a central door and hopper light flanked by sidelights. There are render string courses.
