No 23 Gill Street is a single storey house constructed in brick and rendered brick with a hipped and gable corrugated iron roof. It is a fine expression of the Inter-War Bungalow style. The front elevation is asymmetrically planned with a thrust gable bay and a part width return skillion roofed verandah. The verandah terminates at gable bays at each end and is supported on timber posts. The gable bay features a set of casement windows under a sun hood. There is a central door and hopper light flanked by side lights and a set of casement windows.
