No 21 Irwin Street is a single storey house constructed in brick and rendered brick with a hipped and gable tiled roof. It is a good expression of the Inter-War Porch style. The front elevation is asymmetrically planned with a full width return hip roofed verandah. The verandah is supported on timber posts. A prominent half-timbered gable extends above the verandah. The front facade features an offset French door and a corner window suite. The entry door is located on the north elevation under the return verandah. The roofscape features a brick chimney and finials.
