ARCHITECTURE

Inter-War
Bungalow w Anglo-Dutch Influences

No 20 Gill Street is a single storey house constructed in rendered brick with a hipped and gable tiled roof. It is a fine expression of the Inter-War Spanish Mission style. The treatment of the thrust bay parapet is particularly notable. It is asymmetrically composed with a thrust gable bay and a hip roofed porch. The gable bay features a pair of windows and a finely detailed curved parapet. The verandah is supported on Tuscan columns. There is a central door flanked by a pair of double hung sash windows. The roofscape features a tall brick chimney.
