1903 Snow Cake

Got an honorable mention in The Sunday Times Recipes (reference)

Ingredients:

  • ½ lbs (250 g) butter

  • ½ lbs of powdered (icing) sugar

  • 6 eggs

  •  3 - 3 ½ cups of flour

Method:

  1. Beat butter to a cream

  2. Add sugar and beat a little

  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each one is added

  4. Add enough flour for thick pouring consistency but not by any means stiff

  5. Bake from an hour to an hour and a half
