Inter-War  / Inter-War Bungalow w Queen Anne Influences

No 57 Petra Street is a single storey house constructed in brick and rendered brick with a hipped and gable corrugated iron roof. It is a fine expression of the Federation Bungalow style. It is asymmetrically composed with a thrust gable bay and a part width hip roofed verandah. The verandah terminates at the gable bay and is supported on timber posts. The half-timbered gable bay features a set of casement windows under a sunhood. There is a central pair of doors and hopper light flanked by sets of casement windows with hopper lights. The walls are brick with rendered sills and string courses. The roofscape features a rendered chimney.
