ARCHITECTURE

Federation / Inter-War, Federation Carpenter Bungalow

No 30 May Street is a single-storey house constructed in timber framing and weatherboard cladding with a hipped corrugated iron roof. It is a fine expression of the Federation Bungalow style. It is asymmetrically composed with a full-width return hip roofed verandah. The verandah is supported on timber posts. A timber balustrade spans between the posts. There is a central door and hopper light flanked by sidelights and casement windows with hoppers. The house is set high above May Street on timber stumps with vermin boards. The roofscape features a render capped chimney.
