Killed in Action in France, 6 August 1916. 28 Years old.

Two other brothers served in France and Belgium, and one was awarded a Military medal.

HISTORY

Son of William John and Charlotte Florence Brewer of 131 Hubble St (71 Hubble St Today), East Fremantle, WA.

Private Frederick William Brewer

Private Frederick William Brewer (2550), son of Charlotte and the late William Brewer, 131 Hubble-Street, East Fremantle, was born at Ipoh, India, and educated at Kelmscott, WA. He enlisted on the 7th April, 1915, and sailed for Egypt on the 19th June, 1915. On his arrival there he went in camp for further training and after a short period was sent to Gallipoli, where he remained until the evacuation. He returned to Egypt and then crossed to France, where he took part in several engagements, including Pozieres and Mouquet Farm, where he was killed in action on the 30th August, 1916.
